With the recent introduction of the Rate Controller 2000 and subsequent updates John Deere has made a significant upgrade to their application control systems. This new JD Rate Controller allows for control of up to 5 liquid, anhydrous, and dry products as well as seed rate control for air drills. In total the JDRC 2000 can control up to 4 products to be documented, and a fifth product for independent control. Other advantages to the JDRC 2000 is the ability to control more implement sections, an easy conversion from Deere’s previous single product rate controller, and an improved user experience.
SureFire Ag application and control systems are fully compatible with the John Deere® Rate control system. We have designed and field tested all of the application systems; liquid fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides in order to ensure compatibility with the new JDRC 2000.
The JD Rate Controller 2000 can be used with a variety of SureFire products including, The Tower Pump System which is ideal for in-furrow starter or any low-volume application requiring 4-5 GPM; the Cadallic of application pumps, the PumpRight, which works best for liquid application requiring flow rates between 6 – 55 GPM; and all other SureFire products designed to improve planting and application accuracy and efficiency. When the John Deere Rate Controller 2000 is used with SureFire Ag products, farmers have experienced total control and satisfaction with the combined systems.
Due to farmer and dealer demand, the SureFire Ag team has many upcoming training dates with John Deere dealers about JDRC 2000’s new capabilities and connectivity with all SureFire systems. These trainings will give dealers the opportunity to be well-versed in SureFire products and how farmers utilizing both will be more efficient and productive.
In addition to our involvement with our own system integration our sister company SureFire Electronics gives us the ability to quickly develop wiring harness solutions for clearly defined system integration along with solutions to the complexity that a five product rate control platform can pose when integrating with many other new or existing application systems that we know exist. Our goal is to tackle these challenges providing an incredible value and a single source solution for our farmer and dealer customers.
Please consider joining us for one of our nationwide training opportunities. Let us help you to be well prepared for the challenges, and more importantly the opportunities that exist with the JDRC 2000 platform. In the training, we will cover:
- Control settings for:
o Tower Electric Pumps
o PumpRight Hydraulic Pumps
o LiquiShift Variable Rate Technology
o Torpedo NH3 Systems
o Spartan Injection Systems
o Catalyst Micro-Volume Systems
o Dry Product Control
- Profile Configuration including:
o Single Product
o Multiple Products

In addition, the trainings will cover how to successfully operate multiple product systems using the JDRC 2000 Multiple Product control capabilities. This will include NH3 with injected stabilizer, liquid with multiple injected products, dual product liquid systems, and more.
