This year is no different. Our extended hours this spring are: 7 AM – 7 PM CT Monday – Friday and 8 AM – 2 PM CT on Saturday’s. For after hours support, please send us a message on our website here and include your contact information and a brief description of the issue and we will have someone get in contact with you.

As the industry leader in fertilizer systems, our organization’s commitment to service after the sale is widely recognized as second to none. We have developed a nationwide network involving hundreds of equipment dealers for sales and service of our products. This includes John Deere, Trimble, Case IH, Topcon, Raven, and many others. We know and understand multiple precision ag platforms inside and out by owning, working with, and training on them continually.

Greg Green, Territory Manager of Western US (MT, WY, NV, UT, NM, OK, AK, HI) and Inside Sales Manager of Kansas, Missouri (West of I-49) and Eastern Nebraska (East of Highway 83), is a staple on the sales team at SureFire Ag. He’s been with the team for many years and has won the trust of the team and his customers alike.

We’ve asked Greg a few questions to help you get to know him. Here’s what he had to say:

What is your background?  Vo-Tech;  Electronics Technology

What is your favorite part of your job? Working with great teammates that are all willing to help you when you need it.

Favorite Food? That is a tossup between ribs and chicken wings.

What is the best advice you were ever given?  Don’t ever give up.

What does service mean to you? When someone comes to you for help, that you are able to solve their problem. I’m proud when I am able to help them, but then discouraged when I can’t and that makes me want to learn more about the situation, so I can help someone the next time.

What are you most passionate about? My family come first.  I always want to be there for them in whatever they are going through or doing, and support them.

Who is your favorite sports team?  Football is my favorite sport, so it’s either Broncos or K-State.

What gets you out of bed in the morning? The first thing I do when I get out of bed, is to thank God for giving me another day on Earth.  Then it’s off to whatever I’m wanting/trying to accomplish for that day.

SureFire Systems for John Deere Rate Controller 2000 Training

John Deere has made significant upgrades in their application control systems with the new JD Rate Controller 2000 and subsequent updates to their system.  This new JDRC 2000 allows for control of up to 5 liquid, anhydrous, and dry products, as well as seed rate control for air drills.  In total, the JDRC 2000 can control up to 4 products to be documented, and a fifth product for independent control. Other advantages to the JDRC 2000 are the ability to control more implement sections, an easy conversion from Deere’s previous single product rate controller, and an improved user experience.

SureFire Ag application and control systems are fully compatible with the John Deere® Rate control system. We have designed and field tested all of our application systems (liquid fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides) in order to ensure compatibility with the new JDRC 2000.

Andrew - Sales at SureFire AgAndrew has been on the SureFire Ag team for over 5 years proudly representing the Northeast United States including ME, NH, VT, NY, MA, RI, PA, NJ, DE, MD, CT, VA and WV as the territory sales manager and inside salesman. Andrew’s friendly personality is one of his key assets and his contagious laugh can be heard in nearly every corner of our office.

We asked Andrew a few questions to help you get to know him better. Here’s what he had to say:

What is your background?
I attended Fort Hays State University and then came home to be part of the family radio stations. My radio career ended in 2011, at which time I took a job in the Ag Industry for 1 year before joining SureFire Ag in 2012.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I love interacting with customers and our team at SFA/SFE.  I also enjoy traveling and getting to see the different crops that we help grow all over the country.

What do you wish people knew about you that the probably don’t?
I am sort of an aviation geek. My grandfather flew the Corsair in WWII and my brother is a pilot, so I have always loved flying and being around airplanes… something that has been beneficial since I get to travel frequently for my job.

Do you have any hidden talents or something no one knows about you?
I like to think I am a pretty good drummer. I have played drums since I was young, and played in bands that allowed me to travel all over the country, including a stint in Nashville.

Favorite Food?
Chinese or Italian

What is the best advice you were ever given?
“Don’t wait for opportunity….create it!”

What does service mean to you?
Service to me means providing a fast and reliable solution while building relationships.

What are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about My Family, faith, helping youth find success, music and sports.

Who is your favorite sports team?
Nebraska Huskers/Denver Broncos

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The opportunity to help provide a better life for my family.

Our Team Makes Us Who We Are… Meet Matt!

Matt Micek, inside sales manager covering IL, IN and OH, may be one of the newer faces on our team, but he has already proven himself to be an asset. Matt joins us from a deep ag and teaching background that’s made him a key player at the SureFire offices.

We’ve asked Matt a few questions to help you get to know him. Here’s what he had to say:

What is your background?
I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2002 and took my first job teaching Industrial Arts that same year. In that time, I taught 7-12 general technology courses along with CAD, welding, metal fabrication, plastics, woodworking, residential construction, plumbing, and electricity. I continued teaching for 12 years while also managing the family farm in Atwood. In 2016, I accepted my current position at SureFire Ag Systems in inside sales.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I’ve always been a helper by nature. I feel that my job here at SureFire is to help people be successful. I really enjoy the technical side of my job. Helping customers with system configurations, diagnostics and troubleshooting presents new challenges every day.

What do you wish people knew about you that they probably don’t?
I try to be transparent.

Do you have any hidden talents or something no one knows about you?
I like to dabble in a little bit of everything. I own a fiddle but am certainly no Charlie Daniels.

Favorite Food?
I’ll try about anything I can get past my nose.

What is the best advice you were ever given?
Not sure. Growing up, I was given a lot of advice. I just recently started listening.

What does service mean to you?
In my mind, we approach service at a whole new level. Service at SureFire is unrelenting determination to make every system function as it should.

What are you most passionate about?
I think we all have a choice to either coast through life, flying under the radar OR to live life, get involved, pay it forward and try to make an impact for the good. I prefer the latter.

Who is your favorite sports team?
The one my kids are playing on.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
My alarm clock – duh!

SureFire Phone Number In a continued effort to better support our customers and meet their needs, the SureFire team has debuted a new phone system. We have upgraded to a cloud-based VoIP system which will offer our team and our customers many more features than before; most notably, it will efficiently handle the increased phone traffic coming in to the SureFire team.

As a result of the change, it’s important to note we are only using three main phone numbers for SureFire Ag and SureFire Electronics. If you have other, old numbers saved in your phones, please take a moment to update your contact list to ensure you’ll be able to reach us.

In August 2017, the SureFire Ag team celebrates 10 years in business. What started as a small dream by Blaine and Erin Ginther, Josh and Lisa Wolters, and Matt Wolters has turned into a reality we’re all immensely proud of. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the loyal support of our customers, dealers, and industry partners – we thank you!

SureFire Ag began specializing in providing solutions for the control and application of liquid and dry fertilizer, seed, and chemical the SureFire way. With the support from our amazing customers, our products and services have reached customers across the United States and internationally.

We’ve expanded our offerings to include SureFire Electronics LLC, a subsidiary of SureFire Ag, to design and manufacture wiring harnesses for SureFire Ag Systems. Together, SureFire Ag and SureFire Electronics employs 36 full-time and 7 part-time employees. Blaine Ginther, Co-Founder and National Sales Manager explains why SureFire is proud to be an employee-owned company in a recent blog– which we believe is a huge benefit to our team and customers alike.

From the beginning, our core tenant has always been to find ways to help our customers farm smarter, not harder. From simple, standard, single-product liquid fertilizer application systems, to complex, custom-designed systems, SureFire Ag is committed to helping you farm the way you want. Josh Wolters, SureFire Co-Founder and General Manager, had this to say about the past 10 years:

Here at SureFire, our busy days don’t give us much time to sit back and reflect on the past 10 years.  As I take a chance to look back this afternoon, there are a lot of different directions my mind can veer off in.  There are great successes.  I’ve met great people as co-workers, customers, vendors and other partners.  There have been failures large and small along the way.  Failure is never fun, but we have learned important lessons from our failures.

Shift Your Thinking… Use SureFire LiquiShift Variable Rate Technology!

SureFire Ag LiquiShiftOne of our most popular Early Order products is the SureFire LiquiShift Variable Rate Technology. Farmers across the country have loved the opportunity this product provides to achieve their agronomic objectives without limitations. This system gives producers a mechanism to apply fertilizer to their crops with total control.

LiquiShift Variable Rate Technology provides the ability to achieve the widest range of on-the-go rate changes of any application system available. SureFire’s LiquiShift will allow for a flow increase of 6-8 times the minimum flow rate the system is configured for. In a scenario with a minimum rate of 10 GPA at 4 MPH, the maximum rate at 6 MPH would be 40-50 GPA (6-8 times the minimum rate).

Prescription Applications

You no longer have to narrow the range of your liquid prescriptions to get within the achievable range of a single orifice size. With 6-8 times flow capacity your agronomist is in the driver’s seat. When the analysis calls for 8 GPA in low-productive or areas with high residual nutrients, you will apply 8 GPA. When the analysis calls for 45 GPA in the high productive “black-soil” region of the field, you will apply 45 GPA. No longer will you be forced to over-apply in the poor performing areas.

Application Rate Changes from Field to Field

Never change another orifice. LiquiShift® utilizes metering tube to achieve uniform row-to-row accuracy and automatically switches between tubes to allow dramatic rate changes from field to field. Simply set the rate in your controller and LiquiShift® automatically chooses the proper metering tube.

Speed Changes/High Speed Planters

Faster application and/or planting speeds require larger flow ranges from your liquid application system. High-speed planters designed to work at 8-10 MPH impact fertilizer flow rates by a factor 1.5-2. High-speed liquid applicators and side dress machines create a similar scenario. LiquiShift® is ideal for all of these high speed scenarios.
