SureFire Ag Systems was founded in 2007 to help producers become more efficient by applying the right product, in the right place, at the right rate.

SureFire Ag Systems was founded in August 2007 by Blaine Ginther, Josh Wolters, and Matt Wolters. At that time, GPS technology was being rapidly adopted by many farmers. With this new GPS technology came an opportunity to help producers more precisely apply fertilizer, chemical, seed, and other crop inputs. SureFire was created to help producers become more efficient by applying the right product, in the right place, at the right rate.

In January 2008, SureFire had seven full and part-time employees. At that time, our warehouse was a steel building erected around 1950 and our office was the 1930’s farmhouse on the same farmstead. The only investors in the business were the founding owners. To succeed, we had to generate cash by making sales immediately. More importantly, we began building relationships with our customers that set the stage for five years of impressive growth. After a very busy spring in 2011, we were bursting out of our initial facilities. We worked with our landlord to plan for new facilities on the same site that would allow SureFire to continue to grow. We moved into the new warehouse in December 2011 and the offices in March 2012. In June 2013, we expanded the warehouse again. This allowed the old steel building to be completely remodeled into an engineering building. In December 2013, the engineering team moved into their new offices. They now have 2500 square feet of office space with 2500 square feet of lab and test engineering space in one building.

2014 saw the launch of QuickDraw Fully Automated Spray Tender System. QuickDraw is a 100% SureFire-designed product utilizing all engineering disciplines. The QuickDraw system has become a core SureFire product, and it set the stage for an even broader line of advanced spray tender products. Also in 2014, we added LiquiShift, which has proven to be another foundational SureFire product. It provided growers with a much broader application range for on-the-go liquid application. In 2016, we launched Marksman, a fully automated fertigation and chemigation system.  Marksman gives growers the ability to remotely monitor and control crop inputs that are applied during the irrigation cycle. The next year, Sentinel ISOBUS Liquid Row Monitoring was released, laying the foundation for Sentinel to become a core product with broad capabilities. In 2020, Sentinel Rate Control was introduced, and Sentinel Row Control enjoyed a highly successful limited release in 2021.

As of July 2021, SureFire Ag employs more than 55 full-time employees and numerous seasonal workers. We have shipped SureFire Ag products all across the United States and Canada, as well as internationally. SureFire is an Employee-Owned Company that practices open-book management. Sales & Service Team

SureFire Ag Systems is an employee-owned company that practices open-book management.  We believe our people are our greatest asset at SureFire. Employee ownership and open-book management let us tap into every employee’s enthusiasm, intelligence, and creativity to build an enduring business. We have visited and studied Springfield Remanufacturing Corporation (SRC) in Springfield, Missouri.

They are a pioneering employee-owned company that has shared their success story so companies like SureFire can learn. We strive to customize open-book management principles to propel SureFire’s future growth and success. An employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) is an employee-owner program that provides a company's workforce with an ownership interest in the company In an ESOP, companies provide their employees with stock ownership, often at no up-front cost to the employees. ESOP shares, however, are part of employees' remuneration for work performed.

Adopting this employee-owned model maximizes our employees' investment in their work and provides a unique model for growth. We believe that this model, as well as our open-book management strategy, contribute to the health of SureFire Ag Systems, as well as the satisfaction of our employees. As our company continues to grow, this scalable model will grow with us, meaning there is no limit to where we can go!
